From Blanik America
The FAA sent yet another engineering stress analysis request to the developers of the German repair kit rather than accepting that which has already been approved by the European FAA counterpart, EASA.
This adds an extra complication which may require additional time and expense. If and when there is progress on the side of the FAA we will put an announcement in the News section of our website.
Sorry I don’t have a more positive news to report.
Sincerely,
BLANIK AMERICA, INC.

SSA has a national promotional program called “Let’s Go Gliding,” which is described in the latest Clubs and Chapters Newsletter. They have developed a handout for clubs to distribute to potential members.

Overhaul is done!
Christopher and I left Post Mills @ 1:45 and got back home at 9:30, very long day indeed.
Engine looks great (even when shrink-wrapped), now all we have to do is install it.
Oh, and the Blanik has been de-gunked and assembled thanks to Mike, Steve, Tim, Nancy, Tom (and me).

There will be a FIRC in Concord, New Hampshire March 10 – 11, 2012. Every glider pilot would benefit by attending. Flight instructors can use the clinic to renew their certificates.
